WebDAM is proud to be trusted by some of the leading players in higher education, so we’re very excited to announce the newest addition to our family – University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM)!
UWM, like so many other higher education institutions, is creating and managing more creative and digital files than ever before. To stay on the cutting edge of technology, schools are turning to digital asset management (DAM) software to connect teams across campus with the valuable digital files that drive marketing campaigns and maintain brand consistency.
And when you’re a huge institution like UWM, you want to ensure all your school’s brand assets– logos, designs, mascots, etc. – being used correctly, strengthening your brand while engaging with your audience. With hundreds of files being transferred between many different users, the school needed a powerful yet intuitive way to manage its rich media assets. Needless to say, the school’s existing DAM solution wasn’t meeting its needs.
When Peter Jakubowski, digital asset manager and photographer for the university, began searching for a new DAM platform, he knew he needed a solution that would be easy to deploy and scale as the school grew over time. Most importantly, it needed to be easily adopted with a great user experience. That automatically eliminated many on-premise DAM vendors, which are costly and cumbersome to use without IT stepping in.
Strong brand management features were another huge priority for the school when selecting a DAM. Since UWM is a huge organization – with nearly 28,000 students and 199 academic programs, Jakubowski said the school needed a way to unify its brand identity across multiple marketing teams dedicated to different university departments.
To meet these needs, Jakubowski knew that a cloud-based solution was the best option for the university. His team narrowed down the selection to two providers: WebDAM and a Wisconsin-based vendor.
Jakubowski was immediately impressed with how well WebDAM serves the needs of more prestigious higher education institutions than any DAM in the industry. And positive reviews from users all had a common theme – WebDAM’s unstoppable customer experience.
“I like that WebDAM consistently pushes out innovations to the product based on user feedback for a great customer experience every step of the way,” said Jakubowski.
Since WebDAM has always been in the cloud and is multi-tenant, users can take advantage of all updates immediately – no waiting or paying to get an update as with other DAM software.
“Overall, our experience with WebDAM was just a lot more attractive than any other solutions we looked at,” Jakubowski said.
Ultimately, Jakubowski and UWM chose WebDAM because it offers a superior user experience and brand management capabilities compared with all the other DAMs the school evaluated.
Once again, we’re excited to welcome the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee to the WebDAM family and look forward to exceeding the school’s expectations!
